Homemade Spicy Veggie Hot Dog – Indian Street Food Style
๐ถ️ SPICY INDIAN-STYLE VEGGIE HOT DOG (Street-Food Twist)
๐งพ Ingredients (Serves 3–4)
๐ฅ Veggie Sausage (Indian Style)
1 cup boiled & mashed potatoes
½ cup boiled mixed veggies (carrot, peas, beans)
2 tbsp bread crumbs or poha powder
1 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 green chilli (finely chopped)
½ tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp chaat masala
½ tsp garam masala
¼ tsp turmeric
Salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
๐ญ For Hot Dog Assembly
4 hot dog buns
1 onion (thin sliced)
1 capsicum (thin sliced)
1 tomato (thin sliced)
Butter for toasting
๐ถ️ Indian Sauces
Green chutney (mint-coriander)
Tamarind chutney
Tomato ketchup
Veg mayonnaise (optional)
๐ง Toppings (Optional but Recommended)
Grated cheese
Sev or crushed papdi
Extra chaat masala
Lemon juice
๐ฉ๐ณ Method
1️⃣ Prepare Spicy Veggie Sausage
1. In a bowl, mix mashed potato, veggies, bread crumbs, cornflour.
2. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chilli, spices, and salt.
3. Mix well and shape into long sausage-like rolls.
4. Shallow-fry in a pan with oil until crispy & golden brown.
5. Keep aside.
2️⃣ Toast the Buns
Cut buns from the center.
Apply butter and toast on a pan until lightly crispy.
3️⃣ Indian-Style Veggie Toss
Lightly sautรฉ onion & capsicum with a pinch of salt and chilli powder.
Keep them slightly crunchy (street-style).
4️⃣ Assemble the Spicy Hot Dog
1. Spread green chutney + mayo inside the bun.
2. Place the hot veggie sausage.
3. Add sautรฉed onion, capsicum, tomato.
4. Drizzle tamarind chutney & ketchup.
5. Sprinkle chaat masala, lemon juice, cheese, and serve.
